Dr Chinwe Egbunike-Umegbolu

Dr Chinwe is a lecturer at the faculty of law, University of the West Indies (UWI), St Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago. She was an Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC)-UKRI-funded Postdoctoral fellow at the University of Brighton (UoB), UK, a judge for the British Podcast Awards 2024 and a fellow of the American Bar Association (ABA) Dispute Resolution (Mediation Committee). She is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and a Part-Time lecturer who taught Contract, Business Law, Law, Society and Ethics, ADR, Employment Law and Legal Plan. She also taught Research Methods and Human Resource Management (HRM) at the University of Brighton, United Kingdom. Chinwe is the host of Expert Views on ADR (EVA) Vid/ Podcast Show. In 2023, one of her book chapters was published by Cambridge University Press, and in 2024, her book on ADR 'Appropriate Dispute Resolution in Comparative Perspectives Nigeria, the UK, and the US' was published by Springer Law. Chinwe was shortlisted under the category for publication of the year in 2020 by the African Arbitration Association (AFAA). She achieved the Bronze Contributor status of the Resolution Institute (Australia / New Zealand) in 2024 for her many valuable contributions -where she served as a mentor. She is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA) UK and was a Mentor at the Beyond Barriers Student mentoring program at Kingston University London.
