Khaliq Meer

Khaliq runs the talent and ideas accelerator programme called BBC Sounds Audio Lab, creating recent award winners Colouring in Britain and Blossom Trees & Burnt-out Cars. A former music TV director and speech radio editor, Khaliq also commissioned the multi-award-winning podcast Brown Girls Do It Too.

Compelling story telling, authentic voices and the ability to make audio resonate and jump out. 

Top tip for entrants: 

Double down on the rubric by making sure your audio examples comprehensively answer the criteria. Put your best work at the start of your entry and remember, an entry needs to tell a great story. Don't assume anything!
