British Podcast Awards Website
You may cast your vote in the Listeners' Choice category by voting on www.britishpodcastawards.com/vote (the “BPAs Website”). There is no charge for web entries although internet service provider’s fees may apply when accessing the internet.
Your vote will not be counted if you attempt to vote using a method that is not specified in these Terms and Conditions.
You may vote for any individual podcast, listed in the Apple Podcasts directory, a maximum of one time. Any additional votes you make will be discounted. Votes received outside the specified opening and closing times for the votes will not be counted. Voting times are liable to change and PAL may suspend, withdraw or re-set voting at its sole discretion at any time and will post any updates on www.britishpodcastawards.com. PAL reserves the right to discount votes if it has reasonable grounds to suspect that fraudulent voting has occurred (including certain bulk voting).
The winner of the competition will be determined by the total number of valid votes received during the voting period. The winner of the vote will be announced during the British Podcast Awards on the 18th May 2019.
PAL does not have a say in the outcome of the vote. In the event that the outcome of the vote cannot be reasonably determined because of a technical failure or other circumstance beyond PAL’s reasonable control which affects the vote, or any other decision which the vote would have determined, then the decision on the winner would be at the discretion of the organisers of the British Podcast Awards.
In the event of a tie for first place, the winner will be chosen by Miranda Sawyer (Chairman of the judging panel for the British Podcast Awards). Her decision will be final.
If the outcome of the vote cannot be reasonably determined because of a technical failure or other circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the Promoters, their agents or sub-contractors, then the Promoters may (in their sole discretion) run a new vote.
If it is not possible to run a new vote, or if the outcome of the new vote cannot be reasonably determined by 10am on 16 May 2019, then the winner will be chosen by Miranda Sawyer.
Their decision will be final. If the result cannot be announced in the Awards Programme because of a technical failure or other circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the Promoters, their agents or sub-contractors, then the result will be announced on the British Podcast Awards website by no later than 5pm on 20th May 2019.
PAL, its sub-contractors, subsidiaries and/or agencies do not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any system, server, provider or otherwise which may result in any vote being lost or not properly registered or recorded.
PAL cannot promise that the British Podcast Awards website will be free from errors or omissions nor that it will be available uninterrupted and in a fully operating condition. The systems and/or services may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair or for reasons beyond Podcast Awards Limited’s reasonable control. PAL will not be liable to any person in the event that all or any part of the systems and/or services are discontinued, modified or changed in any way.
The British Broadcasting Corporation is not responsible for the administration, management or hosting of the vote nor will the BBC collect personal data from voters.
